With beautiful weather more than 325 racers participated in the 5K road race or the 3, 9 or 12 mile paddling races along the Mystic River in Medford and Somerville on May 20th. Read more, see event photos and race results!
On Saturday, May 20th at 11:15 a.m. join Bike to the Sea for a free bike ride as part of the Mystic River Herring Run and Paddle. The ride will take place along existing paths on both sides of the Mystic River through Somerville and Medford, in addition to the Park at River's Edge along the Malden River.
Torres-Fleming shared her story of creating a community-driven movement to revitalize parks along the Bronx River in New York, an urban waterway that shares many similarities with the Mystic River.
