MyRWA was awarded $30,000 to conduct an environmental inventory at Belle Isle Marsh—the first step in creating a nature-based restoration and management plan. Read more here. Photo: Woods Hole Group. This is not the only restoration happening though, MyRWA is also managing a $1.27M grant from NAWCA with eight on-the-ground improvement projects, pus NRD funding is coming in for improvements to the fish passage to Horn Pond and Shaker Glen.

Between our three remote volunteering opportunities more than 200 bags of litter were removed from the watershed. We are so grateful to our volunteers. Read about the most recent event (Trash-Free Mystic) results here. During the spring, 5,000 plus community members helped document the herring run size using the under water “fish cam".” See the results of the run here.
After a year of deep community engagement, the Malden River Works team released their report—containing the final concept design and recommendations for carrying out the community’s vision. See the report here.
