Special Report Released: State Parks are Underfunded
Massachusetts state parks saw a 300% increase in use during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, these parks and the agency tasked with managing them— the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) — remain severely underfunded. Over the past several months, a Special Commission aided by advocacy groups (including MyRWA) put together a report to identify ways to increase the capacity and efficiency of DCR.
