A new project led by the Mystic River Watershed Association is broadcasting the river herring migration in the Mystic River this spring, and you are needed to help make it a success. A motion-sensor underwater video camera at the Upper Mystic Lake dam fish ladder in Medford now records the herring migration 24 hours a day.

Bike to the Sea bike tour as part of Herring Run & Paddle festivities
On Saturday, May 20th at 11:15 a.m. join Bike to the Sea for a free bike ride as part of the Mystic River Herring Run and Paddle. The ride will take place along existing paths on both sides of the Mystic River through Somerville and Medford, in addition to the Park at River's Edge along the Malden River.

The Mystic River Watershed Association is hosting a lecture and panel discussion headlined by Alexie Torres-Fleming, an award winning speaker, activist, urban planner and Medford resident. Torres-Fleming will share her story of creating a community-driven movement to revitalize parks along the Bronx River.
