Did you know that most of the trash in our rivers and lakes comes from the streets? Trash on land can get washed into our waterways during storms. Let's help reduce this major source of stormwater pollution and give our parks a clean start for the winter!
Want to help? You’re invited to MyRWA’s Fall cleanup challenge! Spend some time picking up trash in your neighborhood or favorite park and let us know what you find for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Garden in the Woods*.
Clean up your location of choice before November 25th (Thanksgiving Day!):
Looking for inspiration? See this document for some suggested locations around the watershed.
Important: please follow these guidelines while picking up trash. We recommend bringing separate (paper) bags for recyclable goods.
Report back — how much litter did you remove? Complete the report form here (don’t worry we will email it to you as well)!
*Gift card winner will be randomly selected out of all Fall Cleanup report form submissions.
