NOVEMBER DONOR HIGHLIGHT: KARIN TURER & NICK PAVEY

Outside of being a special events planner and an avid swimmer, Karin Turer is an Arlington resident with her husband Nick Pavey.  Karin is an ambassador for change and Nick is an amazing photographer.

Their most pressing concern is climate change because of how it will shape the future environment. Locally, MyRWA is focusing on flooding, storm surges and the impacts that heat will have on public and environmental health. As Karin says “we need to keep our eye towards the future.”

In their free time they enjoy taking their son swimming in the lakes. “The water is very very refreshing at this time of year,” Karin shared. They are even known to put out a fishing rod to catch some fish and bring the camera to take pictures of the amazing wildlife-while out on the water. Check out Nick’s amazing picture of an eagle in action on the river.

MyRWA is able to keep this eye to the future, thanks to the support of Karin and Nick. They are monthly donors to the Association—ensuring we have funds to make important impacts, sharing about our work widely, and are a dedicated participant (and even fundraiser) for our annual Herring Run & Paddle!
