On Saturday, May 20th at 11:15 a.m. join Bike to the Sea for a free bike ride as part of the Mystic River Herring Run and Paddle. The ride will take place along existing paths on both sides of the Mystic River through Somerville and Medford, in addition to the Park at River's Edge along the Malden River.

Alexie Torres-Fleming to join Mystic River Watershed Association for talk on community-led park revitalization projects
The Mystic River Watershed Association is hosting a lecture and panel discussion headlined by Alexie Torres-Fleming, an award winning speaker, activist, urban planner and Medford resident. Torres-Fleming will share her story of creating a community-driven movement to revitalize parks along the Bronx River.

Meet our new Herring Education Intern!
Meet MyRWA's Herring Education intern, Emma Arnesty-Good. The San Francisco native and white-water rafting guide recently graduated from Tufts University with a degree in American Studies. She is now leading the way on a new program on the Mystic by working with teachers to bring the herring migration to classrooms throughout the watershed.
