Welcome to Elorpheton Deneus

The Mystic River Watershed Association is thrilled to introduce our new Development Manager, Elorpheton Deneus. Join us in getting to know him:

Q: What made you want to work for Mystic River Watershed Association?

A: The answer to that question is simple. Mystic River Watershed Association wants to impact the communities and the environment. The team at MyRWA are focused on making positive changes and are passionate about their work. Growing up I have always looked for ways to create positive change in my community and impact others. So, MyRWA has the type of work environment I always seek to join.

Q: Who would you consider as a role model and inspiration?

A: That’s always an interesting question. My first role model and inspiration has to be my mother who I call Wonder Woman—because throughout my life she has done it all. She has invested time and resources into transforming me into the man that I am today.

My second inspiration is an aspirational version of myself. I think of Elo 10 years from now. Who do I aspire to be and what would that look like? I will never catch up to my 10 year self because a new 10 year self will present as an inspiration—it’s an ongoing process. The journey towards that individual excites me everyday and pushes me to be better.

Q: What do you like doing outside of work?

A: I enjoy a good game of pick-up basketball. I welcome anyone to join! Outside of work I usually do early morning or late-night workouts.

Q: What is your favorite type of food to cook?

A: First off, I love food. Spent some time in the kitchen with my mother growing up. I enjoy cooking a lot of seafood and Haitian Food! So delicious.

Q: Where would you like to travel?

A: I would like to travel to all of the Caribbean Islands, Australia, all of Europe, India, Japan, Madagascar, Argentina and any country that has amazing food!

Q: What would be a great superhuman ability (power) you would like to have?

A: It would have to be the ability to teleport. I would never need a passport or be stuck in traffic.
