We are off to a fresh start with the 2019 legislative session and have an opportunity for you to support a clean Mystic.
In Massachusetts, the public has no way to know when bacteria-laden sewage is discharged into our rivers. The bill proposed below would institute a statewide sewage discharge notification system to alert residents when sewage discharges make rivers unsafe and would require the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to collect data on sewage discharges across the state.
Please help us push this legislation to the forefront by calling your local state representatives and state senators by February 1st and asking them to support this bill.
