MyRWA's Letter Urges DEP to Restore Public Access on the Malden
With leadership and support from our Policy Committee, MyRWA submitted a comment letter to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regarding the Chapter 91 license application by National Grid, a large property owner along the Malden River. MyRWA urged National Grid to restore full waterfront access along its more than 2,000 feet of shoreline.
Mystic River Park Improvements Launched
On Thursday, October 6, 2016 the Mystic River Watershed Association and Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) kicked-off a series of improvements to Torbert Macdonald Park in Medford. Revitalization projects include newly paved paths, phragmities removal, a volunteer stewardship program – and future amenities such as a river overlook and picnic area.
