Mystic River Steering Committee Meeting on Green Infrastructure

Join us for the upcoming Mystic River Steering Committee meeting on Green Infrastructure! The meeting will provide opportunities for green infrastructure managers to come together and learn about challenges and opportunities of green infrastructure projects in the watershed as well as at the national level. The next steering committee meeting is scheduled for May 11, 2023 from 1 pm to 3 pm (Add to Calendar).  The meeting will be held via zoom (link here). 

Green infrastructure projects offer a wide range of benefits ranging from improving water quality, reducing flooding, increasing biodiversity, improving air-quality, and improving mental health. 

The purpose of this meeting is:

  • To highlight successful green infrastructure projects in the watershed as well as at the national level to discuss specific challenges and lessons learned, including best practices from these green infrastructure projects 

  • To look for best practices in other cities at the national level

  • Shared federal and state resources to support local work

This topic may be most relevant for Departments of Public Works, city engineers, landscape architecture and anyone who is directly or indirectly involved in managing a green infrastructure project. Our meetings are open to all!

Overall, the upcoming steering committee meeting on green infrastructure promises to be an engaging and informative event, providing attendees with the tools and knowledge necessary to implement successful green infrastructure projects in their own communities. We look forward to seeing you there!
