Join us to learn how to be a part of our baseline water quality monitoring program — collect data that informs the EPA grade for the Mystic River! No prior experience is necessary.
Being a monitor involves a 1-2 hour time commitment per month, early in the morning, between 6AM and 8AM, to collect samples in the field with a partner, and to bring them to a central location. The training will discuss details of the logistics, correct sample collection and handling techniques, processing samples, and why the data we get from our baseline program is important.
