Environmental Justice Workshop #1

MyRWA is partnering with the EPA, Groundwork USA, GreenRoots, One Everett, and others to bring a pair of free environmental justice workshops to the Mystic River Watershed. These workshops are designed to build connections between and among communities, environmental justice organizations, and federal agencies in ways that will help these agencies invest in communities that are marginalized, underserved, and overburdened by pollution.

Everyone in the Mystic River Watershed who works with green spaces, community building or water quality issues is welcome to attend. We are aiming to have youth, community members, and representatives from federal and local government agencies. We hope you will join us and share with your community!

Workshop #1: Building a Common Foundation for Racial Equity in the Mystic River Watershed is scheduled for October 13, 2022 4-6:30pm ET

This 3-hour in-person workshop is scheduled for December 1 from 4-7pm ET at 90 Everett Ave 3rd Fl Suite 10, Chelsea MA 02150 and will highlight specific equity issues raised by Mystic River Watershed community members and environmental justice organizations. Priority will be given to those who attended the 1st workshop. This workshop aims to engage participants in a dialogue to explore how we better identify opportunities for collaboration and direct investments to address the issues raised.
