Plastover: An Exodus from Plastic

  • Mystic River Watershed Association P. O. Box 390 Arlington, MA 02476-0004 (map)

Every Passover, Jews around the world give up leavened bread – hametz. It’s a sacrifice we make willingly, to recall our ancestors’ journey from slavery to freedom.

But what if we could make another kind of sacrifice – one that would have an immediate impact on the world? What if we chose to mindfully free ourselves from the plague of plastic waste?

Andy Hrycyna, the watershed scientist from the Mystic River Watershed Association will talk in this virtual meeting about the dangers of plastic pollution and what MyRWA is doing to address this issue. Karen Grossman of Temple Shir Tikvah will explain the idea behind Plastover and how you can be involved.

After the brief presentation, attendees will discuss "Plastover" and how we can all be part of the solution.

Space is limited to 12 so let Karen Grossman know if you can make it to by RSVPing here.
