The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) is implementing six-month pilot program to test sewage samples for the COVID-19 virus. The goal? To quickly identify a second surge of the outbreak as it appears. MWRA will then use this information to work with state health authorities to help figure out where more resources need to go to safeguard Boston-area residents.
