Horn Pond Brook public meeting

Flooding is the most common and serious natural hazard in Woburn and is expected to worsen due to climate change. The roads and residences in the vicinity of Horn Pond Brook already experience flooding and this excess stormwater in the area threatens the local river herring migration (recently returned to Horn Pond Brook!). Recognizing the urgent need to increase this neighborhood’s resiliency, the City of Woburn is beginning a project to restore Horn Pond Brook--while at the same time aiming to reduce localized flooding and improve fish habitat.

You are invited to join us on Tuesday, July 14th at 4:30 PM for an update on this restoration project. Following up on the public site-walk hosted last fall, we will showcase the new concept design and discuss the current project schedule.

The meeting will be hosted through Zoom. Registration required.

If you are new to Zoom, please try to log on 10 minutes early so that we can assist you. This event is co-hosted by the City of Woburn, Weston & Sampson and the Mystic River Watershed Association.
