Join Mark Jacobson of Paddle Boston, Amber Christoffersen of the Mystic River Watershed Association and Sarah Ritch of Friends of the Harborwalk on a 2-mile kayaking tour of the Lower Mystic River. It will start from the public boat launch at the Little Mystic Channel and end at the Blessing of the Bay Boathouse in Somerville, with refreshments. Paddle Boston is generously providing the kayaks and professional guides. 

We will experience a range of landscapes along the tidal and non-tidal segments of the Lower Mystic, from the active industrial Designated Port Area (DPA) to the pastoral landscape along the Somerville and Medford shores. 

Our tour will take us under the Tobin Bridge, along Admiral's Hill in Chelsea and the Autoport and Schraffts Center on the north edge of Charlestown, past the Power Plant and Encore Boston Harbor in Everett, through the Amelia Earhart Dam, past the Malden River, along Assembly Square and Draw 7 Park, to the Mystic River beyond.
