Bring your friends and family and discover the incredible world waiting along the shoreline at low tide. During this guided experience, you'll explore tide pools while learning about fascinating marine life, including periwinkle snails, dog whelks, hermit crabs and other crab species, as well as the diverse algae and seaweed that make these coastal ecosystems so unique!
Whether you're new to tidepooling or simply curious about the ocean, this is a fun opportunity to connect with nature, learn something new, and explore the coast together!

Time: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
(90-minute guided program, plus time for introductions and wrap-up)
Where: Winthrop Beach

Who: Ages 5+ are welcome!
What to Bring: Tide pools are easy to access and fun to explore! Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet. We also recommend bringing a hat, lightweight clothing, sunscreen, water, snacks, and bug repellent to stay comfortable throughout the event.

¡Trae a tu familia y amistades para descubrir el increíble mundo que aparece en la costa durante la marea baja! En esta experiencia guiada, exploraremos las pozas de marea mientras aprendemos sobre la fascinante vida marina, como los bígaros (periwinkle snails), caracoles perforadores (dog whelks), cangrejos ermitaños y otras especies de cangrejos, además de las distintas algas marinas que hacen de estos ecosistemas costeros un lugar tan especial.
Ya sea que sea tu primera vez explorando pozas de marea o simplemente tengas curiosidad por el océano, esta es una excelente oportunidad para conectar con la naturaleza, aprender algo nuevo y explorar la costa en comunidad.

Qué traer:Las pozas de marea son de fácil acceso y muy divertidas de explorar. Usa ropa cómoda y zapatos que se puedan mojar. También te recomendamos traer un sombrero, ropa ligera, protector solar, agua, meriendas y repelente de insectos para mantenerte cómodo durante la actividad.
