Join Friends of the Malden River to help make Salem Street shine!

Neat Streets, in partnership with local community organizations and volunteers, invites residents for this Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 a.m. to noon with an additional celebration till 1:00 p.m. The cleanup will begin behind Salemwood School (529 Salem Street, Malden) at 10:00 a.m., with parking located in the back lot. Volunteers of all ages are called and encouraged to help clean neighborhood streets, parks, and public spaces while building relationships with different people and demonstrating pride for the community.

The Neat Streets Project is funded by Malden’s Community Connection Grant and fueled by volunteers. Salemwood School will be the first cleanup of the Neat Streets project, signifying the beginning of an exciting journey to beautify local neighborhoods impacted by the litter accumulated by daily life. Neat Streets strives to bring Malden together through such neighborhood cleanups along with post-cleanup celebrations for their completed Neat Streets.
