Stoneham Wetland Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

  • Stoneham High School 149 Franklin Street Stoneham, MA, 02180 United States (map)

The Town of Stoneham, MyRWA, & Horsley-Witten invite you to celebrate the opening of the newly restored wetland behind Stoneham High School!

With funding from Massachusetts’s Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program, this area has been transformed from a landscape overrun with invasive plant species into a restored wetland with accessible trailheads and pathways with educational signage coming soon!

The restored wetland will help mitigate local and regional flooding, support a healthier and more resilient ecosystem, and provide important downstream benefits throughout the broader Mystic River watershed.

Join us to celebrate this exciting milestone, explore the newly restored space, and hear remarks from members of the project team!
