Woburn Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Input Session

  • Woburn Senior Center (or on Zoom) 144 School Street Woburn, MA, 01801 United States (map)

Join the City of Woburn for a hybrid discussion about their Hazard Mitigation Plan:

Do you wonder if Woburn can flood, experience a tornado, or have an earthquake? What is the worst that can happen? What can prevent those natural hazards and others from wreaking havoc?

Fortunately, the City is developing an update to their Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan details all the natural hazard risks that may impact the City and includes a list of potential actions to mitigate those risks.

The City of Woburn encourages all residents and business owners to come to a public meeting to share your ideas and gather your feedback regarding which hazards present the greatest risks, which areas of the City are most susceptible to damage, and what you would like to see done to mitigate these risks.

We cannot stop winter storms, heavy rains, high winds, or earthquakes but we do not have to suffer severe consequences. The City of Woburn hopes you will join us for our first of two Public Meetings on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00am. Join us in-person at the Senior Center or online via Zoom.

City staff will also be available to answer questions and receive public input on local hazards, concerns, and mitigation priorities. A future public meeting will be scheduled for an evening in February to provide an additional opportunity for community participation.
