Latino Outdoors invites you, your friends, and your family to join us for kayaking on the Mystic River. No experience required. We will provide life jackets, kayaks, volunteer leaders on the water, and lunch thanks to our partnership with Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) and Paddle Boston.

At Latino Outdoors, we inspire, connect, and engage Latino communities in the outdoors and embrace cultura y familia as part of the outdoor narrative, ensuring our history, heritage, and leadership are valued and represented.

Cost:

FREE! Thanks to funding from the MA Office of Outdoor Recreation

Two Dates are Available:

Saturday, July 27th, 2024 from 10am-1:30pm

Saturday, August 17th, 2024 from 10am-1:30pm

Day of Activities:

10-10:30am: Arrival and registration

10:30-12:30pm: Kayaking

12:30-1:30pm: Lunch

Where:

Medford Condon Shell, 2501 Mystic Valley Pkwy, Medford, MA 02155. Parking available on site.

Who:

Ages 6+ are welcome! We are capping this event at 25 participants. Since there are a limited number of kayaks and lots of interested people, please only sign up if you intend to attend!

What to Bring:

Please wear clothing that can get wet. Shoes and pants are likely to get a little bit wet from water splashes . Bring sunscreen, water bottle, and bug repellent. Life jackets will be provided.

Safety:

Boating Safety: If there is lightening or heavy rain two days beforehand, the event will reschedule.
