MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD AT THE PUBLIC MEETING ON COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOWS ON JUNE 29TH
Last year, 338 million gallons of combined stormwater and sewage were discharged into the Mystic River and Alewife Brook during Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) events. The release of this raw or partially treated sewage is a major source of bacterial pollution, threatening human health and safe recreation.
On Wednesday, June 29th from 6pm to 8pm, The City of Cambridge, the City of Somerville, and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority are hosting a Public Meeting to discuss Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Planning. This is a great opportunity to show that reducing and eliminating CSO's is important to you.
