Calling Mystic Youth! Check out all of our Teen Volunteer Week opportunities to join other young community members in caring for the local environment!

What: This event is a water chestnut removal led by Maggie F. and Jonah S., student leaders with the Medford Center for Citizenship and Social Responsibility! Volunteers will head out in canoes to hand-pull water chestnut from the Mystic river. MyRWA will provide the canoes, paddles, life jackets, and gloves. Be sure to wear sunscreen, clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and shoes that will get wet!

Where: Mystic River across from the Whole Foods in Medford (2151 Mystic Valley Pkwy, Medford, MA 02155). Parking is on street.

Registration: Preregistration required! You can volunteer on land or on the water (there will be an option to select your preference on the registration form)*

*Note: This event is for Youth aged 13-18. Youth aged 13-17 may participate without a parent or guardian present at the event but waivers must be signed by a parent or guardian beforehand.
