Malden River Works is a new project in Malden. We are building a coalition of community leaders of color, youth, environmental advocates, and government officials as well as designers—eager for community input. With your help, the Malden River waterfront can become a park for public enjoyment and recreation. We also will improve our river’s wildlife habitat and our city’s flood resiliency.

We hosted the project kick-off in October 2019 to begin the community conversation about the future of Malden’s waterfront. Now, you’ll have another opportunity to share your thoughts again at the second public meeting for Malden River Works on January 30. We will share feedback from the first meeting, surveys and outreach to develop a shared-vision for the waterfront park at the DPW site. The event will be kid-friendly and refreshments will be served.
