Join us for presentations of recent research from and about the Mystic River watershed. The bi-annual Mystic Science Forum is open to the public and will be held on April 20, 2019. The event is co-hosted by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US-EPA) and the Mystic River Watershed Association. The event will feature research and analysis conducted by EPA, the City of Cambridge, and others, and the issues will include:
new climate change models and flood maps for watershed cities and towns;
modeling efforts around nutrient pollution in the Mystic;
results from a human health risk assessment for boating on the Malden River; and
new research from University of Massachusetts Amherst researchers on the little-known lives and ecology of juvenile river herring in Upper Mystic Lake and Horn Pond.
The event will be from 8:30AM to 12:30PM at EPA offices in Boston, 5 Post Office Square, Floor 15, Courtroom 6. All are welcome.
