The Mystic River Watershed Association, in coordination with the US Forest Service and Wilderness Inquiry as part of the Urban Waters Federal partnership, is excited to welcome Canoemobile back to Boston for fall 2024 on the following dates:

Wednesday, September 18th - Somerville - Blessing of the Bay Park (School Day Event) - Register
Thursday, September 19th - Everett - Rivergreen Park (School Day Event) - Register
Friday, September 20th - Cambridge - Magazine Beach (School Day Event)
Saturday, September 21st - Cambridge - Magazine Beach (Community Event)

Canoemobile is a “floating classroom” that brings students out on local waterways in 10-person, 24-foot Voyageur canoes to learn about science, history, geography, and culture. The program features both on water as well as on land content. 

The centerpiece of the Canoemobile program is the integrated classroom and outdoor education experience that utilizes under-appreciated urban resources, especially urban waterways. Canoemobile programming and educational activities operate in collaboration with local, state, and federal partners.
