The Alford Street Harborwalk & Flood Resilience project connects the existing Harborwalk at Encore Boston Harbor in Everett to a proposed underpass at Alford Street / Route 99 in Charlestown. It is also part of a long-term strategy to mitigate coastal flooding risks from sea level rise and storm surge in the mystic River watershed by integrating flood control infrastructure with the proposed Harborwalk.

An initial community meeting for the conceptual design of the harborwalk was conducted on Thursday, June 26, 2025. For those who could not attend, we encourage you to review the below meeting presentation and recording:

Please send along any questions or feedback you may have by replying to this email or reaching out to contact@mysticriver.org. Thank you for your continued support - the final conceptual plan for the harborwalk should become available later this summer.
