Chelsea activists join with the Conservation Law Foundation to sue ExxonMobil for their negligence in regards to climate change preparations at their facility along the Mystic and Island End rivers in Everett and Chelsea.

MyRWA's Letter Urges DEP to Restore Public Access on the Malden

With leadership and support from our Policy Committee, MyRWA submitted a comment letter to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regarding the Chapter 91 license application by National Grid, a large property owner along the Malden River. MyRWA urged National Grid to restore full waterfront access along its more than 2,000 feet of shoreline.

On Dec. 8, 2016 we partnered with Conservation Law Foundation, Chelsea GreenRoots, NOAH, La Comunidad, Inc. and others to call on ExxonMobil in a hand-delivered letter to take swift action to fortify its Everett, MA facility on the Mystic River in preparation for threats posed by climate change.
