Join us for the 2019 City Nature Challenge and help document biodiversity along the Malden River. We will explore the local flora and fauna and photo-document all we find with thousands of others across the country. Will Boston make the top of the leaderboard? Maybe if you join us!

Download iNaturalist to your smartphone or tablet and establish an iNaturalist account before you arrive so you will be all set to contribute to the City Nature Challenge. We'll provide further instruction at the meeting location and help you identify species we find in the area.

The day will consist of biodiversity discovery at two sites along the Malden River:

11:00 AM at River Green Park Everett. This brand new park along the river is located at the end of Rivergreen Drive in Everett just past Boston Freightliner. Please meet under the shade shelter.

12:30 PM at Gateway Park. Please park in the designated spots in the Costco parking lot within the Gateway Center in Everett.

What to wear: Whatever feels comfortable and weather appropriate.

What to bring: Please bring a snack/lunch and reusable water bottle. Sunscreen and a hat are always recommended. If you have them, tall rubber boots are recommended for intertidal exploration.

Event will run rain or shine, however, may be cancelled due to severe weather.
