River Herring in Natural and Restored Massachusetts Estuaries

  • 20 Academy Street Arlington, MA, 02476 United States (map)

Each month we invite incredible speakers to share their stories with us. This month, Rob Vincent from MIT’s Sea Grant Program will present on river herring in Massachusetts—with a focus on a new project to track river herring in the Mystic with acoustic tags and monitoring receivers.

Robert Vincent is Assistant Director and Coastal Ecologist for MIT Sea Grant. His work focuses on ecosystem response to biophysical feedbacks and anthropogenic impacts. He is currently working on coastal habitat restoration; fisheries telemetry tracking, habitat requirements, and foods webs; and technology development in support of fisheries and aquaculture.

The presentation will take place from 7-8 PM and the policy committee will meet afterwards from 8-9 PM. Newcomers welcome! We encourage anyone interested in advocacy to try it out.

The outreach committee will not be meeting.

Join us at our office at 20 Academy St. in Arlington on the first floor-there is plenty of street parking.
