WATER QUALITY MONITORING
Since 2000, the Mystic River Watershed Association has maintained a comprehensive water quality monitoring program that serves as the fundamental component of our work. This program, the Mystic Monitoring Network, is staffed by over 48 trained volunteers from area towns and cities and provides critically important data with regard to the sources, type and volume of existing impairments to the river’s natural environment and water quality.
Baseline Monitoring Program

Hot-Spot Monitoring Program
Intensive sub-watershed studies are performed through this program.
Cyanobacteria Monitoring Program
Cyanobacteria, a potentially harmful bacteria, is monitored throughout the watershed primarily at recreational areas.
