MYSTIC MONITORING NETWORK (MMN)
Since July 2000, MyRWA volunteers have collected samples throughout the watershed for analysis of bacteria and nutrients. See the links below for more information and important data. Please contact: Patrick@mysticriver.org with any questions you may have.
BASELINE MONITORING PROGRAM
In the Baseline Monitoring Program, staff & volunteers sample at the same 15 locations each month. The goal of this program is to track changes in water quality over time. Click here for more information about the Baseline Monitoring Program.
CYANOBACTERIA MONITORING PROGRAM
Cyanobacteria in Ell Pond 2008In the Cyanobacteria Monitoring Program, staff & volunteers test water samples in recreational areas where there is a higher chance of contact with the toxic bacteria. Click here for more about the Cyanobacteria Monitoring Program.
FIND-IT and FIX-IT PROGRAM
In the Find It and Fix It Program, staff & volunteers identify and catalog pollution caused by storm water. The project addresses improving the quality of the watersheds by identifying and removing pollution caused by stormwater (non-point source pollution) that threatens public and aquatic health. Click here for more about the Find-It and Fix-It Program.
In the Hot Spot Monitoring Program, staff & volunteers sample each month intensively along a river or stream. The goal of this program is to identify pollution 'hot spots' in the watershed. Click here for more information about the Hot-Spot Monitoring Program.
