MUNICIPAL CONSERVATION COMMISSION & PLANNING AGENDAS

Mystic Lake dam construction 2010-2011Conservation and Planning meetings can be a great source of information and an important way to participate in the activities surrounding your city or town.

A municipal Conservation Commission is the official agency specifically charged with the protection of a community’s natural resources. A Conservation Commission also advises other municipal officials and boards on conservation issues that relate to their areas of responsibility.

The Planning Department is typically responsible for the development of plans that address issues such as land use, environmental protection, transportation, housing and public facilities. The department also reviews current development proposals such as rezonings, special use permits, site plans and subdivisions.

Please see the following Conservation Commission and Planning Agendas below. These can also be found on our website calendar.
