2012 marks the Mystic River Watershed Association's 40th anniversary!
MyRWA's 40th Anniversary is a year to celebrate and promote the recreational opportunities of the Mystic as well as the water quality testing and environmental policy efforts that MyRWA has led over its forty year history. We have special events planned all year long - stay tuned for updates here!

March 13, 2012 - Flatbread Pizza Doughraiser
5PM-11PM, Flatbread Pizza at Sacco's Bowl Haven, 45 Day Street, Somerville, MA
Eat Pizza for a cause! Between 5pm and 11pm the Flatbread Company will automatically donate a portion of each flatbread sold to MyRWA. Eat in or take out. We'll have a raffle too!

March 22, 2012 - The Work of 1,000 film screening with Marion Stoddart
7:00PM Capitol Theater, 204 Mass. Ave., Arlington, MA
Get energized and inspired! Join us for a 30-minute award-winning documentary film followed by a lively personal discussion with the film's central figure, world-renowned local citizen leader, Marion Stoddart. The film is an exhilarating success story of how one woman - Marion Stoddart, mobilized clean-up of one of America's most polluted rivers-for herself, for her community, and for future generation-and became a citizen leader honored by the United Nations. It's a gripping account of an ordinary person who realized her power to make a difference. Learn how Marion's story can be used here in the Mystic River Watershed!

April 11, 2012 - Bag It film screening
5:30PM, 7:00PM & 8:30PM, Somerville Theatre, 55 Davis Square, Somerville, MA
In collaboration with Somerville Climate Action, head to the Somervile Theater at 5:30pm, 7:00pm or 8:30pm for this special film. Bag It has been garnering awards at film festivals across the nation. What started as a documentary about plastic bags evolved into a wholesale investigation into plastics and their effect on our waterways, oceans, and even our bodies.
